Storyline Online

Students,
I am currently taking a technology class at University of Houston Downtown and I learned about this website, Storyline Online. The website has a variety of books that are read aloud by well known actors. Take a break from reading this summer and have someone read to you by going to the following website www.storylineonline.net

*Always ask your parents for permission to use the Internet and use proper netiquette.

Summer at The Museum of Fine Arts

Happy Friday,
I would like to recommend for you all to take your children to The Museum of Fine Arts on Thursdays. Admission is free on Thursdays for children and adults. Activities for children are from 11a.m.-2p.m. Children can discover a work of art, sketch in the galleries, listen to a storybook, and create artwork.  They also have other events and activities through out the week for parents who are not able to attend on Thursdays. I was able to take my niece yesterday and she had fun creating her own artwork (based on Maya art) using clay and sketching in the galleries. I also had fun helping her create her Maya inspired artwork. Below is some of her work.

Visit the museum website to find more information http://www.mfah.org/.
